Munich - The shortage of young talent endangers the nationwide medical on-call service in Bavaria. "In more and more regions of Bavaria it is becoming increasingly difficult to fill the services due to the lack of young doctors," said the Association of Representatives (VV) of (KVB) last Saturday, outlining the problem. It is important to provide comprehensive care in such way that the service frequency does not overwhelm older doctors in particular. The VV agreed that the KV could only solve the problem with the support of politics and health insurances and passed an application to completely revise the KVB's on-call service regulations within one year. In the future there will be debate on this in every VV.
The board of directors of the KVB announced that it would start looking for tailor-made solutions in the focal regions together with those affected.
