Mannheim - They are building 1,800 square meter start-up and competence center for companies in the medical technology sector. The center aims to bring companies, clinicians, researchers and experts together systematically and in targeted manner across all phases of medical technology product - and thus enable quick and efficient exchange of information between the individual actors. The aim is to accelerate the development and implementation of new medical technologies.
“With the start-up and competence center for medical technology, another milestone in modern urban development is being set in Mannheim. With an export quota of over 65 percent, medical technology is one of our most important leading and growth industries, with international appeal and excellent future prospects, ”explained Günther Leßnerkraus from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Finance and Economics.
The project is included supported around 1.1 million euros in funding. Of this, 292,465 euros come from the state of Baden-Württemberg and around 835,616 euros from the EU program for "Regional Competitiveness and Employment" 2007 to 2013 (RWB).
