Dortmund - At the head of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians Westphalia-Lippe () change is becoming apparent. The 1st chairman of the board, Wolfgang-Axel Dryden, announced at the most recent meeting of the general assembly (VV) that he will terminate his board contract in due time at the turn of the month of March / April 2019.
So that his termination does not have any external effect leads to the fact that he is perceived as "board member on call", the 68-year-old wants to add to his resignation the waiver of the office of 1st chairman and thus make his chief position available even before leaving the board. This means that new 1st chairman can be elected in the next meeting of the VV in June.
For this election, the current KVWL Vice President Gerhard Nordmann threw his hat into the ring. In the next but one VV meeting in September, new member is to be elected to the board in order to enable early induction and thus to ensure smooth transition.
Dryden has been active in self-administration for 38 years. In 1980 he was elected to the VV and in 2001 to the then honorary board. He has been member of the full-time executive board since 2005.
