Frankfurt / Main - The introduction of the electronic health card has apparently made significant progress in the past year. A majority of those with statutory health insurance have now received the new insurance card, according to the umbrella association of health insurance companies. A spokeswoman for the Frankfurter Rundschau said on Tuesday that the specified quota of 70 percent has been met and even exceeded significantly at individual health insurance companies. The central association did not provide any information on the question of whether individual health insurers have missed the legal target.
The national association was satisfied with the Status of the issue. "With the issue of the electronic health card and the establishment of telematics infrastructure, we are finally getting closer to modern and networked care," said the spokeswoman for the paper.
