Berlin - The desire of medical students to get to know other countries and universities is unbroken. The federal representation of medical students in Germany () is also feeling this. She now places 400 medical students abroad every year and looks after just as many exchange students in Germany. In order to counter the flood of their experience reports, the bvmd is now looking for additional employees in the area of "report database coordination".
The report database now comprises more than 5,000 texts. It forms the basis for assessing and evaluating foreign universities as well as study, research and working conditions and is therefore an important decision-making basis for exchange students and the organizers.
In addition to its exchange program, the bvmd primarily represents the interests of medical students in Germany, both on national and international level. She gets involved in the political debate and takes part in political events. In addition, it supports the networking of medical students across faculties through its 38 local representations. The work of the bvmd is carried out entirely on voluntary basis by medical students.
