Berlin - The (DKG) and the (GKV) have agreed on the amount of financial assistance for personnel costs. The agreed volume of 300 million euros should immediately flow into the hospitals. "This is an important step towards relieving the burden on hospitals in the current year", explained DKG managing director Georg Baum and GKV board vice president Johann-Magnus von Stackelberg.
With the amended hospital financing law that came into force on August 1st the hospitals have been granted financial assistance in personnel costs, one third of which is to be refinanced through collective bargaining rate. The subsidy now agreed by the self-administration partners corresponds to an increase in the flat-rate payments per case by 0.51 percent for the entire year 2012.
The funds are transferred by adjusting the state base rates. To implement the regulations, the regional hospital companies and the health insurance associations conclude appropriate agreements at the regional level.
