Magdeburg - The looks back on an enormous amount of development work since it was founded in October 1990. Since then, almost 12,000 medical training exams have been taken and certified, and 5,700 medical assistants have been trained and tested. The number of members of the Chamber has increased from almost 7,200 to 11,760 doctors since 1991.
In the past 15 years, the Chamber has certified over 100,000 advanced training events and awarded more than 350,000 advanced training points.
A chronicle illuminates the historically significant time for future generations. Historians have described the situation of doctors immediately before, during and after reunification. "One of the main focuses of the work was to shed light on the political activities during the time of reunification, from which the medical self-administration in Saxony-Anhalt seamlessly emerged," explains the President of the Medical Association, Simone Heinemann-Meerz.
