Rome - In Italy, 100 doctors have now died from the lung disease COVID-19. As the National Chamber of Physicians and Dentists announced today, the doctors were infected while working for infected patients.
On the association's website, the doctors who have died since March 11 are listed with their names and date of death.
In contrast, the number of COVID-19 victims among caregivers is significantly lower. According to media reports, 26 nurses had died of the SARS-CoV-2 infection by Tuesday.
